Nannie Nannie Boo Boo

I'm really spoiled. I have the best job in the world....and it comes with the best students in the world!!! Today was our pool party from the annual auction. One of my favorite 8th graders bought it, which meant 7 more of my favorite 8th graders got to come along. To top things off, Vernon Wells, yes that one, offered to have it at his house..which is really like a resort!!! We had so much fun, and yes we did miss school for this PARTY!!!!

Upon arrival we each found a cute cup with our name on it and a clinique bag with make up inside :). These girls were my first class and I had them for Art, Bible and coached 4 of them in Volleyball!
 Hanging out!!!
Man, its a rough life to be a teacher but somebody has to do it :). I love this super special lady!!
And then we took it to the next level....this cracks me up!!!
Jumping in!!! Check out those faces :)
Sweet sweet girls...who I get to have again next year in Art...YAY!!!!!
 B E A U T I F U L :)
Great friends, most of them also play basketball together.
Attempting to all be on the slide at the same time.
 One more try!!
THE MANSION!!!! No, really, this is probably 1/4 of the house, my camera wouldn't fit it all in :)
The Wells are very generous people and we are so appreciative of them letting us come to their home!!
Last try and they were successful!
One of my favorite students ever, has a deep deep love for God and is an awesome volleyball player!!!!

I'm the only one awake and its only 8:13

Today was pretty hectic, two trips to two different airports, one to pick up two grandparents, one to drop off one grandparent. Church--which by the time we get ready and sit down in the van I am aching for a nap. Then we got ready for another busy week of school and now at 8:13 all of the adults and children in the house are asleep except for me :). Perfect time to blog and watch a biggest loser episode. We are back on our diet...I've decided that it was okay for us to go off of it after a) getting a newborn and b) having so many people bring us meals....you can't be picky if people are going out of their way to make you a meal. So now we are back to minimal eating out, lots and lots of healthy snacks, low low low sugar, and lots of fruits and veggies. I think watching biggest loser also helped to persuade me :).

I would ask for prayers right now...we are anxious/desperate/going crazy over why our home in TN hasn't sold. It's becoming a burden and keeping us from pursuing anything as far as buying a home here or making any other more permanent living arrangements. Adam is also job hunting, in a bad economy and with a masters in Biblical Studies and Archaeology. Don't get me wrong, I know he will find something but there aren't many people beating down our door asking him to dig up their land and look for The Ark or anything. We are also on pins and needles with Izzy's situation...my heart literally races whenever my phone rings. So, sweet sweet friends who follow our crazy life please please please send up fervent prayers for us...we believe in prayer and we know we serve a God who has already got it all figured out.

Here are some pictures from Goober's teacher on field day and Peter Rabbit. They are pretty stinking great!!

Goob and one of his friends ready for flag football.
Hopping away..look at that face :)
 GOAL
 Narrator, Peter and Mr. McGregor
 My sweet little bunny!
Best for last, isn't this an awesome picture? They are having so much fun!! I love Goober sweet sweet friends and our school family!

Still here..

Updating the blog has not been on my list this week. My mother in law has been here therefore things have been a lot more smooth and mom and dad are getting sleep!!! HALLELUJAH!!!!
I have also been depressed about some stuff with baby boy and the fact that we still aren't 100% sure that we will get to adopt him..I don't want to share things on here...its his privacy as of right now and once again I don't want to paint the birth mom and dad as villians. We are praying for God's will to be done, but it sure is hard to look into sweet little face and think that at any day he could be taken away from us and sent back to a less than desirable home.

Funny things to document.

Baby Boy- You are rotten, literally. Your farts rival dad and Goober. You have the best little grins and are cooing at us and talking back. You like to lay on your Baby Vegas mat and watch the little mobiles. You are sleeping a good chunk of the night. You LOVE LOVE LOVE your daddy. When you hear his voice you lock in on him and just stare. You scared yourself really bad the other day when you farted and coughed at the same time....you got super upset!!!

Ribbit-You are super bossy and if people aren't playing by your rules then you get mad. You are back in all panties and the other night at 2 am I felt little hands on my face and your legs were shaking and you said "mommy, i have to go pee" in the most saddest little voice. You had been holding it all night and are such a big girl. You call your face "your space" and you call any sort of containers " bollums". You demand milk at every hour of the day and you love to have snacks. You are running as fast as your little chubby legs will carry you and your hair is getting curlier every day. You sweat like a pig when you sleep and when you wake up you look like you have been electrified with that curly hair sticking out at every angle.

Goober-You are all boy and run circles around the house...literally. You have your good days and bad day at school but you know how to say I'm sorry and how to accept the consequences. You are getting better and better at spelling and the books I thought you would never read, you are flying through !!! You are almost in 2nd grade and I am so proud of all you  have learned this year. You are always quick to remind mom that God has a plan, you like to remind me of that when I am sad and you say it with all the faith in the world. You give the best compliments like " mom your orange chicken is 100 times better then panda" when it really kinda stinks. You tell me that the next time we go to Wal Mart you are going to let me buy make up and clothes :). I love how you hold my hand when we walk to school and reach for it in parking lots...please stop growing up!!!!

No pictures or videos for today...I'm gonna enjoy having help here for another night and watch Biggest Loser reruns while I eat a bowl full of fruit salad (aka-sugar with more sugar).

Summer countdown=11.5 more days with students, 1.5 days of insevice!!
